URBAN INFEST 2005: GOT PASSION, MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Imagine a day where every passion of every youth is given its rightful place in the sun.
That’s Urban Infest 2005 - a one day festival on 2 July right in the heart of Orchard Road that is all about ‘infesting’ Singapore with the youthful spirit of enthusiasm, idealism and zeal!

This carnival is one of the flagship events in SHINE, a youth festival supported by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and the National Youth Council.
There will be 3 zones (Sports and Games, Music and Arts, and Other Interests) where groups will be given space to set up shop and do their stuff! Come try out inline skating, hip-hop dancing, chalk drawing, wheelchair dancing, juggling, board games and more – all for free!! Special activities to watch out for include:
- Flying Fox - in the middle of Orchard Road!
- VANs Skateboard Competition – pit your skills and attractive vouchers by VANs await! (registration starts at 9 am)
- Xclaim! 2005 – a night concert to commemorate Youthp!a’s 3rd birthday! It promises to be an aural and visual feast even bigger, bolder and better than previous years - Featuring B-Quartet, Parking Lot Pimps and more!
Urban Infest is all about bringing together youths who want to share their passions with society and give others an opportunity to break out of their comfort zones to try new things. To top off the carnival, there’ll be a mega street night party right at Somerset Road!

Find out more at our website: http://www.heartware.org/urbaninfest/, or just come on down, share the passion and join in the spontaneous fun!

Date: 2 July 2005
